About Mount Union Area School District

A public school district covering roughly 151 square miles across Huntingdon and Mifflin Counties, Pennsylvania — home to nine communities and one Trojan family.

The Mount Union Area School District includes all of Mount Union Borough, Mapleton Borough, Shirley Township, and Union Township in Huntingdon County, along with Kistler Borough, Newton Hamilton Borough, and Wayne Township in Mifflin County.

We're committed to the students we're privileged to serve, our alumni association, and our dedicated, talented faculty and staff. We also take pride in having an active and helpful group of partners, visionary parents, well-wishers, alumni, and friends.

A Message From Our Superintendent

Welcome to the Trojan Family

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and Board of School Directors, welcome to Mount Union Area School District. Our small, close-knit district covers a lot of ground — more than 150 square miles across Huntingdon and Mifflin Counties — but our focus stays the same in every building: knowing every student by name and giving them what they need to succeed.

Thank you for being part of the Trojan family.
