Recent Seasons & Records
The program's most recent standout alum is 2025 graduate Cailyn Skopic, a multi-event athlete (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, high jump) who won the 300m hurdles at the 2025 PIAA District 6 Championships in a personal-best 46.94 and placed 3rd in the 100m hurdles (15.99), a state-qualifying time; she was also named to the ICC Spring All-Star team. Head coach Casey Hanlon has identified Southern Huntingdon, Southern Fulton, and Windber as the toughest competition in the ICC.
All-Time Championship History
Photographed directly from the gymnasium championship banners, cross-referenced with the PIAA state championship archive.
District 6 Team Champions (2): 1985, 1988 (sourced only to the gym banner; not yet independently verified against a district team-championship archive)
PIAA State Champions (individual event):
| Year | Athlete | Event | Mark |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1986 | Jonathan Martin | Triple Jump | 45-5 |
| 1993 | Joseph Loner | 800 Meters | 1:55.52 |
| 1994 | Joseph Loner | 800 Meters | 1:55.51 |
| 1994 | Joseph Loner | 1600 Meters | 4:22.54 |
| 1996 | Sherman Williams | 800 Meters | 1:57.13 |
Loner is the program's only double state champion, winning both the 800m and 1600m at the 1994 PIAA Class AA championships after his 1993 800m title as a junior. The gym banner credits Sherman Williams' title to 1986, but the official WPIAL/PIAA champions archive places it in 1996 (Class AA 800m, 1:57.13) — the same archive that independently confirms Martin's and Loner's marks above, so the year on the banner appears to be a transcription error rather than the win itself being in doubt.
